The TinyBots program designed for ages 4 – 6 year olds offers the first experiences with our STEM-based curriculum where young children learn the fundamentals of robotics and programming. Using intuitive iPad-based apps, students practice giving commands to the robots using block-based programming through working on coding challenges and projects. Utilising tools such as Dash & Dot and Sphero, students practise mathematical and programming concepts such as time, speed and conditionals. Through visual and real-world execution of their code, students start to appreciate how software interacts with hardware to develop computational thinking skills
The JuniorBots program designed for ages 7 – 8 year olds introduces kids to hardware programming using Arduino. Using mBot, an Arduino-based, extensible robot kit, students create commands to follow lines, push objects, create useful LED displays and more, to practice key computer science concepts such as loops and conditionals.
The MegaBots program designed for ages 9+ is powered by the LEGO MINDSTORMS Education EV3 Base Set and software. Students explore the exciting world of robotics and engineering. Combining the versatility of the LEGO building system and intuitive drag-and-drop programming software, this adventure encourages teamwork, friendship, and creativity from day one.
Build Your Own Chatbot This course is aimed at introducing students ages 12+ to Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI is all about making computers smart! It is a new trend in our technology world, where computers are able to learn and sometimes outsmart humans.
Students will learn how to build a chatbot without having to write any code by leveraging IBM Watson Assistant
